6 Reasons Why You Should Buy a Kindle

Thursday, 15 April 2021 •

During the second half of last year, I bit the bullet and bought myself a Kindle Paperwhite. After getting back into reading & being completely fed up of reading e-books on my phone, I’m so glad I bought this little device and it’s definitely been worth it. Now even though I absolutely adore the feel of a good paperback book and being able to flip through each and every page, the Kindle is super practical and has some great benefits.

What I've Watched in February 2021

Thursday, 25 February 2021 •

All I ever seem to do recently is binge watch! Whether that’s on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ - you name it, I’m there. I wanted a place to log all of my recent watches and thought ‘well why don’t I put it on the blog’ that way, I can look back on the movies and shows that I’ve loved or just downright hated. Without further ado, here’s my February monthly wrap up:

books i can't wait to read in 2021

Thursday, 21 January 2021 •

During the first lockdown last year, I found my love for reading again. I was a vivid reader back in my teenage years, and of course I owned every single Jacqueline Wilson book that there was and I re-read them SO many times. As my love for reading continues to grow, I have decided to jump on the bandwagon slightly and share with you the books that I’d like to read in 2021 (felt like 21 books would be too long lol) and hopefully bring you some new favourite reads too!

Shows & Movies that you should most definitely watch on Netflix

Tuesday, 21 April 2020 •

In my last post I wrote about the things that you could do whilst in self-isolation and one of those things included Netflix. I’ve always been a huge lover of Netflix as it has such a wide variety of binge-worthy shows and movies to watch which makes it perfect to have during this self-isolation period. The amount of choice on there is almost a bit too much that you wonder where to start, this is where I come in to share with you some shows & movies that you should most definitely watch on Netflix!

7 things to do whilst in self-isolation

Friday, 17 April 2020 •

Strange times we are all living in at the moment and I do hope that everyone is staying as safe as they can be. During this pandemic, some are able to work from home which is filling up most of their day however for many others (including myself) we don’t have that opportunity to work from home therefore we have to fill up our day slightly differently.

My Current Favourite Cleansers

Monday, 13 April 2020 •

If I had to choose my favourite time of the day, it would 100% be the time where I get to take off all my makeup and go ahead with my evening skincare routine. I don’t know about you, but I find it’s one of the best feelings in the world when your face is freshly washed and hydrated ready for the night’s sleep.

2018 Reflection: Travels, Life and Highlights

Wednesday, 2 January 2019 •

I thought that 2017 went by quickly, but nothing prepared me for how fast 2018 was going to be. It has been a year of highs and lows but all in all, I’ve been able to achieve some things I never thought I could do. This year has been full of many exciting moments as well as the stressful moments, however I can happily say that it’s been one of my favourite years to date.
Now I haven’t blogged in nearly 4 months – but I wanted to write this little reflection post to remind myself of all the great things that have happened this year and hopefully this’ll help bring back my writing motivation too (we will see).

The Secret to a Brighter Smile with BlanX Pro Range

Wednesday, 5 September 2018 •

I have always been a little self-conscious about my teeth. As a young teenager, my teeth were wonky and crooked that it took a year and a half of braces to sort them out. My main issue however has always been the colour of my teeth, they are slightly stained and I purely put that down to the fact I drink Coca Cola and tea on an everyday basis (oops).

I have tried a few teeth whitening products here and there, but I have never really noticed a huge difference until now.

Soph X Makeup Revolution Extra Spice Palette

Sunday, 12 August 2018 •

I was beyond excited to hear that Soph was releasing a new eyeshadow palette in collaboration with Revolution (which is by far one of my favourite drug store brands). I purchased her highlighter palette previously and very quickly, that became my most used palette on an everyday occasion. Everybody and their mothers were talking about Soph’s first ever eyeshadow palette which I actually never bought. I will say that I find the overall layout of the Extra Spice palette way more interesting than the first.

Saying Goodbye to Dry Skin with Bobbi Brown

Wednesday, 16 May 2018 •

Oh dry skin – aren’t you just a wonderful ray of sunshine? From the dry patches to the redness & swelling, I seem to have it all. After years of battling with dehydrated skin, I have finally found the cure for me: Bobbi Brown.

72 Hours in Edinburgh

Saturday, 24 February 2018 •

Edinburgh. The capital of Scotland, the home to the Scottish Parliament and the second most popular city in Scotland. I’ve wanted to visit Edinburgh for as long as I can remember so you can only imagine how ecstatic I was when my fiancé surprised me with a city break to Edinburgh for my Christmas present. We both did a ton of research about where we wanted to visit before heading off to the city, just so we felt more prepared within the days we spent there and it also gave us something to look forward to.

What I've Learned From My 6 Year Relationship

Friday, 2 February 2018 •

It’s officially coming up to Valentine’s Day, but it’s also coming up to my 6 year anniversary with Alex and what a better way to kick start February with a post about l o v e.

I’m not going to beat around the bush here, but relationships are bloody hard work. It’s absolutely crazy the fact that we’ve been together for 6 whole years, since I was 15 years old! I am in no way an expert at relationships, but I have learned a hell of a lot – which is what I shall share with you.

Let's Talk: Feminine Hygiene

Sunday, 28 January 2018 •

I understand that feminine hygiene is a bit of a taboo subject that doesn’t get spoken about as often as it should. When it comes to feminine hygiene, I think it’s important for us women to be consistent with maintaining the cleanliness of our ‘down below’ area. Maintaining good hygiene will not only help to keep us fresh and feel clean every day but it will also keep us healthy as they’re many illnesses that can be caused by poor personal hygiene. Growing up throughout my teenage years, I had no idea about any of these things that I know now and just *wish* someone would’ve mentioned these to me.

Shows to Binge Watch in January

Friday, 19 January 2018 •

Netflix is like my little happy place.

The place I go to when I’m feeling rubbish, unmotivated or bored. One of my favourite things to do is to binge watch the crap out of series/films and unfortunately, I don’t have enough free time to do that as often as I’d like to, so when I do have a free day all to myself I admit, I like to take advantage of my time and just sit for hours on end (with endless amounts of tea may I add).

I have taken my time and put together a list of series that I am currently binge watching as well as some shows that I can watch over and over again.

6 Things I'd Like to Improve on in 2018

Thursday, 11 January 2018 •

I’m not the type to set goals or resolutions each year because truth is, I’m useless and don’t stick to them. Seriously, one of my goals last year was to stop eating takeaways but I went and bought a dominos the day after. With the New Year and a new month in full swing, I am feeling somewhat reflective and inspired to make 2018 the best year yet and by doing that, there’s a few improvements I’d like to make.

A Beginners Guide to Scrapbooking

Monday, 1 January 2018 •

The thought of storing all my memories away in a little book to look back on makes me happy. Life is short and it seems to be flying by so if you’re like me and want to keep hold of all your special memories or even just the little things, then a scrapbook is a great idea. I started my scrapbook without a clue on what I needed apart from pictures. Although I consider myself a highly creative person, I’m not exactly the best at making things look pretty. I do try to. But not the best lol. Here is my beginners guide to starting a scrapbook.

A twenty seventeen reflection

Monday, 4 December 2017 •

So, it seems a little strange for me to write that 2017 is near enough over. Done and Dusted. Just thinking about that scares me. Where the heck has 2017 gone?

Whilst having sometime to myself one Friday afternoon, I was flicking through some pictures of the past year and seeing that 2017 has actually been a wonderful year that’s treated me very well. Of course, I’ve had my ups and downs just like every human does but those bad days build better days.

I often think that we focus more on the next step in our lives that we sometimes forget to take a break and reflect. So, without further ado. Here are the highlights of my pretty wonderful year.
